NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Sources and methods of data collection

Data for the Annual Report on Hunting, Trapping and Wildlife Management (LOV-11 form) in 2007 were collected for the period from 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2008 (hunting year) from the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management – Hunting Department.

Since 2006, the Ministry of Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management – Hunting Department (NN, No. 140/05) took charge of keeping the records on the management of hunting grounds and game. The management includes breeding, protection, hunting and usage of game and its parts.

Data on killed game are given on the basis of the central hunting register.
