NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Since January 2009, statistical data on earnings have been observed, processed and presented according to the National Classification of Activities, 2007 version (NKD 2007.). This Classification entered into force on 1 January 2008 (NN, Nos. 58/07 and 72/07) and, regarding its contents and structure, it is completely in line with the NACE, Rev. 2. Its implementation will provide for a high quality international coverage of statistical data.

Data source

Data on average monthly paid off net and gross earnings by professional attainment required for employment in legal entities in the Republic in Croatia are the result of the Annual Survey on Persons in Employment and Earnings (RAD-1G form).

Data are collected through the report filled in by legal entities of all forms of ownership based on the records of persons in employment and earnings. The report on persons in employment and earnings covers all persons in employment irrespective of a type of employment and a number of working hours. This survey does not include persons in employment in crafts and trades, free lances and private farmers. Since 2004 persons in employment in the police and defence have been included in the survey.

Coverage and comparability

Data on earnings are collected through a report filled in by legal entities on the basis of records on earnings, which comprise gross and net earnings of persons in employment who signed a work contract irrespective of the type of work contract and working time, providing that they worked all 12 months of a previous year.

This survey excludes payments of persons employed in crafts and trades and free lances as well as persons who conduct their activities at private family farms.
