PERSONS IN EMPLOYMENT IN CRAFTS AND TRADES AND FREE LANCES

THIRD QUARTER OF 2009

 

Since January 2009, data have been presented according to the National Classification of Activities – NKD 2007. (NN, Nos. 58/07 and 72/07). Information on the application of the new classification is given in the Notes on Methodology at the end of this release.

 

In September 2009, as compared to August of the same year, the number of persons in employment in crafts and trades and free lances decreased by 3.3%, out of which the number of women by 3.9%.

 

The decrease in the number of persons in employment was recorded in sixteen activities, ranging between 0.2% in Real estate activities and 11.2% in Accommodation and food service activities.

 

In all other activities there was an increase recorded, ranging between 0.1% in Human health and social work activities and 2.5% in Education.

 

The comparison of the number of persons in employment by counties showed that in eighteen counties it decreased, ranging between 0.2% in the County of Šibenik-Knin and 7.6% in the County of Bjelovar-Bilogora, while in the County of Virovitica-Podravina there was an increase of 0.1%.
