PERSONS IN EMPLOYMENT IN CRAFTS AND TRADES AND FREE LANCES
FOURTH QUARTER OF 2009
Since January 2009, data have been presented according to the National Classification of Activities – NKD 2007. (NN, Nos. 58/07 and 72/07). Information on the application of the new classification is given in the Notes on Methodology at the end of this release.
In December 2009, as compared to November of the same year, the number of persons in employment in crafts and trades and free lances decreased by 1.6%, out of which the number of women by 1.2%.
The decrease in the number of persons in employment was recorded in fifteen activities, ranging between 0.4% ( Professional, scientific and technical activities and Other service activities) and 4.2% (Construction).
In all other activities there was an increase recorded, ranging between 0.3% in Public administration and defence; compulsory social security and 3.2% in Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities.
The comparison of the number of persons in employment by counties showed that in all counties it decreased, ranging between 0.9% in the County of Zadar and 3.6% in the County of Požega-Slavonia.
