STRUCTURE OF PERSONS IN EMPLOYMENT, BY AMOUNT OF AVERAGE PAID OFF NET EARNING AND BY ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES, SITUATION AS IN MARCH 2009
Since January 2009, statistical data on earnings and persons in employment have been observed, processed and presented according to the National Classification of Activities, 2007 version (NKD 2007.) (NN, Nos. 58/07 and 72/07).
Regarding the amount of the average net earning paid off for March 2009, the structure of persons in employment shows that 1% of persons in employment received up to 1 900 kuna, 49.9% received from 1 900 to 4 500 kuna and 38.9% from 4 500 to 8 000 kuna, while 10.2% persons in employment in legal entities received the net earning that exceeded 8 000 kuna.

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY
Since January 2009, statistical data on earnings and persons in employment have been observed, processed and presented according to the National Classification of Activities, 2007 version (NKD 2007.). This Classification entered into force on 1 January 2008 (NN, Nos. 58/07 and 72/07) and, regarding its contents and structure, it is completely in line with the NACE, Rev. 2. Its implementation will provide for a high quality international coverage of statistical data.
Data on the structure of persons in employment by amount of paid off net earning in legal entities in the Republic in Croatia are the result of the annual survey on persons in employment and earnings for March (RAD-1G form). This survey covers all legal entities of all types of ownership, government bodies and bodies of local and regional self-government units on the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
Data on earnings are filled in legal entities on the basis of records of earnings. They cover earnings of persons in employment, irrespective of a type of employment and a number of working hours.
This survey does not include payments of persons in employment in crafts and trades and free lances or private farmers. Since 2004, persons in employment in the police and defence have been included in the survey.
