How to obtain publications

All users may place their requests to the Division in one of the following ways:

Ask for information
Use the material in the Reading Room*
Buy CBS publications
Buy publications stored on electronic media

* Reading Room opening hours: Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

REFERENCE LIBRARY OF Croatian Bureau OF STATISTICS SERVICES

Lending: CBS employees are allowed both to borrow and take out all materials from the Library, while external users are allowed to use materials only in the Reading Room. External users may use publications from other statistical offices and international organizations in the Library, if required publications are not taken out by the CBS' experts.

Photocopying: one side A4 – 1 kn, one side A3 – 2 kn
Single-copy publications and rare items may not be photocopied.

Use of computers:
Library disposes of 2 PC's. Users can browse through CBS' web pages as well as available statistical databases
Electrical connections for laptops are available so users can use their own laptops in the Library.

Selling publications produced by CBS:
In the Library, publications can be purchased only in cash. CBS issues a receipt for purchased publications.

When ordering publications, business entities are kindly requested to submit their ID as well as a title of the publication they are ordering that can be found in the Publishing Programme (e.g., First Release No. 1.4.1. “Seawater Fishing”). The Publishing Programme is available on the web site of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics. It is also possible for users to order the printed form of it, in which case it is delivered free of charge.

All users, with the exception of those with the free-of-charge status, shall pay for publications according to the Price List of Publications and Services published in the Publishing Programme. Postal expenses are not added to the publication price. The Croatian Bureau of Statistics shall conclude agreements with publications purchasers on paying arrangements only if the total amount or the price of ordered publications has been over 50 000.00 kuna (fifty thousand kuna).

Users are required to renew their subscription each calendar year. After the renewal, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics shall send offers/quotes.

All media have equal access to statistical data as other users. Data shall be available to them only after publishing.

All users are allowed to use CBS data published on the internet free of charge, but shall be obliged to state CBS as a data source.

All other issues concerning the distribution of publications are regulated by the Ordinance on Distribution of Publications of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, published in the Official Notice of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, No. 1 of 31 August 2009.
