WHAT IS A POPULATION AND HOUSING CENSUS?

A population and housing census is the greatest statistical survey of a country uniting the collection, processing and publishing of data on the population, households and housing units. The aim behind each census is to count the population at the county level and at the level of all territorial units: settlements, municipalities, towns and counties.  Save the number and the territorial arrangement the Census provides the data on demographic, ethnic, educational, economic, migrational and other characteristics of the population and the data on the housing fund and its characteristics.

The data collected through the Census will be used only for statistical purposes. All data, answers and information disclosed to the participants in the Census Test will remain confidential.
