Communication with media is very important for the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, as the media are the one of the key users of the official statistics as well as an important link between producers of statistical data and broader public. As the media represent a major channel of transmitting official statistics to broader public, it is important to keep a good relationship between CBS and the journalists.

Within the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, Public Relations and Communications Unit is responsible for maintaining relations with the media, which represent a set of ongoing activities aimed at building mutual trust, in order to provide adequate information.
