NUMBER OF LIVESTOCK AND POULTRY – previous data, situation as on 1 December

U skladu s procesima usklađivanja statističkih standarda Republike Hrvatske s pravnim propisima i statističkim standardima EU-a od 2010. uvedeno je dodatno priopćenje o prethodnim podacima broja stoke i peradi. S obzirom na to da se radi o prethodnim podacima, do objave konačnih rezultata istraživanja broja stoke i peradi postoji mogućnost promjene navedenih podataka. U vezi s tim navedeni prethodni podaci za 2009. u usporedbi s konačnim podacima za 2008. bilježe sljedeća kretanja: u usporedbi s prethodnom godinom broj goveda bilježi smanjenje za 2%, broj ovaca za 4% i broj koza za 10%, dok ukupan broj svinja bilježi povećanje za 13% te broj peradi za 7%.

In line with the process of the harmonisation of statistical standards of the Republic of Croatia with the EU statistical standards, an additional first release on previous data on the number of livestock and poultry has been introduced since 2010. Having in mind that this release deals with the previous data, it might happen that, at the time when final data of the survey on the number of livestock and poultry are to be published, the data issued here could be changed. Therefore, the mentioned previous 2009 data, as compared to the final 2008 data, changed in the following way: In comparison to the previous year, the number of cattle decreased by 2%, the number of sheep by 4% and the number of goats by 10%, while the total number of pigs increased by 13% and of poultry by 7%.

METODOLOŠKA OBJAŠNJENJA	NOTES ON METHODOLOGY
Izvor i prikupljanje podataka Podaci o broju stoke i peradi prikupljeni su posebno za pravne osobe i dijelove pravnih osoba, a posebno za obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva. Tim izvještajima prikupljaju se podaci o broju i težini stoke i peradi, bilanci goveda, svinja, ovaca, koza i peradi, bilanci jaja, bilanci mlijeka na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima, proizvodnji mlijeka (kravljega, ovčjega i kozjega), vune i jaja.	Source and collecting methods Data on number of livestock were collected separately for legal entities and parts thereof and for private family farms. These surveys serve for collecting data on the number and weight of livestock and poultry, balance of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry; balance of eggs, balance of milk produced on private family farms; production of cows’, sheep and goats’ milk, wool and eggs.
Obuhvat i usporedivost Izvještajne jedinice za pravne osobe razvrstane su prema Nacionalnoj klasifikaciji djelatnosti 2007. u područje A Poljoprivreda, šumarstvo i ribarstvo, razredi 01.41 – 01.42, 01.45 – 01.47 i 01.50. Izvještaj podnose i jedinice razvrstane u druge djelatnosti koje se bave uzgojem stoke i peradi.	Coverage and comparability Reporting units for legal entities are classified according to the National Classification of Activities, 2007 version, in section A Agriculture, forestry and fishing, classes 01.41 – 01.42 and 01.45 – 01.47 and 01.50 as well as other units classified somewhere else, but engaged in the production of livestock and poultry.
Obuhvat za pravne osobe selektivan je (10 i više zaposlenih), a izvještajne jedinice preuzete su iz Registra poslovnih subjekata (RPS) i Registra Financijske agencije (Fina).	Coverage for legal entities is selective (10 and more persons employed) and reporting units are taken over from the Register of Business Entities and the Register of the Financial Agency (Fina).
Izvještajne jedinice za Anketu o broju stoke jesu i obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva koja se bave uzgojem stoke i peradi. Uzorak Ankete o broju stoke 1. prosinca 2009. izrađen je kao i prethodne godine na bazi podataka Popisa poljoprivrede 1. lipnja 2003.	Reporting units for the Survey on the Number of Cattle are private family farms as well, engaged in the production of livestock and poultry. The sample of the Survey on the Number of Cattle of 1 December 2009 was made, as in the previous year, on the basis of the data taken over from the Agricultural Census of 1 June 2003.
Definicije	Definitions
Krave su ženska rasplodna grla koja su se već telila.	Cows are female bovine animals, which have already calved.
Junice su odabrana ženska rasplodna grla koja se još nisu telila.	Heifers are selected female bovine animals that have not calved yet.
Krmače su ženska rasplodna grla koja su se najmanje jedanput prasila.	Sows are female breeding animals that have farrowed for at least once.
Suprasne krmače jesu ženska rasplodna grla koja su se već prasila i od kojih se očekuje novo prasenje.	Mated sows are female breeding animals that have already farrowed and are expected to farrow again.
Nazimice su odabrana mlada ženska grla za rasplod koja se još nisu prasila.	Gilts are selected young female breeding animals that have not farrowed yet.
Suprasne nazimice jesu mlada ženska rasplodna grla od kojih se očekuje prvi podmladak.	Mated gilts are young female breeding animals that are expected to farrow for the first time.
Nerasti su muška rasplodna grla.	Boars are male breeding animals.
Ovce za priplod jesu ženska rasplodna grla koja su se već janjila i ona od kojih se tek očekuje prvi podmladak.	Ewes for breeding are female breeding animals that have already lambed as well as those that are expected to lamb for the first time.
Perad uključuje brojlere, kokoši, pure, guske, patke i ostalu perad.	Poultry includes broilers, hens, turkeys, geese, ducks and other poultry
Izmjene u kategorijama Radi usklađivanja kategorija stoke i peradi s izmjenama i dopunama pravnih propisa EU-a u ovogodišnjem priopćenju, u odnosu na prošlogodišnje, promijenjeni su nazivi pojedinih kategorija stoke.	Changes within categories For the harmonisation of livestock and poultry categories with amendments of the EU legislation, headings of certain livestock categories have been changed in this first release, as compared to those from the last year.
U skupini Goveda od 1 do 2 godine kategorija Ženska za rasplod promijenjena je u Junice, a kategorija Ženska za klanje u Junice za klanje. Isto tako, u skupini Goveda starija od 2 godine kategorija Junice za rasplod promijenjena je u Junice. U istoj skupini kategoriji krave dodano je (uklj. mlađe od 2 godine).	In the group of cattle aged over 1 year but under 2 years, the category “Female, for breeding” has been changed to “Heifers” and the category “Female, for slaughter” has been changed to “Heifers, for slaughter”. Also, in the group of cattle of 2 years and over”, the category “Heifers, for breeding” has been changed to “Heifers”. In the same group, “(including those that are under 2 years old)” has been added in the category “Cows”.
Kategoriji Svinje za tov dodano je (uklj. izlučne zarasplod).	In the category “Fattening pigs”, “(including culled ones)” hasbeen added
Unatoč promjeni naziva podaci u ovim kategorijama usporedivi su s prethodnom godinom.	Despite the change in the headings, data in these categories are comparable to the previous year.
Također su detaljnije prikazani podaci o broju koza i peradi po kategorijama i vrstama.	Data on the number of goats and poultry by categories and kinds are also presented in more detail.
