METODOLOŠKA OBJAŠNJENJA

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Kumulativni podatak nije uvijek jednak zbroju pojedinačnih mjesečnih rezultata zbog zaokruživanja na tisuće.

Cumulative data are not always equal to the sum of the individual monthly results due to the rounding to thousands.

Izvori i metode prikupljanja podataka

Source and methods of data collection

Svrha istraživanja jest prikupiti podatke o prometu brodova, putnika i robe u morskim lukama Republike Hrvatske.

The purpose of the survey is to collect data on traffic of ships, passengers and goods in seaports in the Republic of Croatia. Collected are the data on the number of arrivals and departures of ships, on arrivals and departures of passengers and on loaded and unloaded goods.

Jedinica promatranja jest svaki prispjeli ili otputovali brod.

Observation units are all inward and outward ships.

Reporting units are harbour master’s offices and their branch offices. The Croatian Bureau of Statistics takes over the database of arrivals and departures of ships in/from the seaports of the Republic of Croatia from the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure for further processing.
