U ovom priopćenju objavljuje se procjena bruto domaćeg proizvoda (BDP) za četvrto tromjesečje 2011. po kategorijama izdataka i područjima djelatnosti. Objavljuje se i revidirana procjena BDP-a za prethodna tromjesečja 2011. nastala zbog revizije podataka robne razmjene za 2011. Rezultati su dostupni u tekućim cijenama, stalnim cijenama prethodne godine te u stalnim cijenama referentne godine (2000. = 100). Serija podataka usklađena je prema godišnjem obračunu BDP-a za razdoblje od 2000. do 2007.

The estimation of the quarterly gross domestic product (GDP) for the fourth quarter of 2011 by major categories of expenditure and economic activities is presented in this release. Revised estimate of GDP for previous quarters of 2011 is presented due to revision of foreign trade data for 2011. The data are presented at current prices, constant prices of a previous year and constant prices of a reference year (2000 = 100). Data series have been adjusted according to the annual GDP calculation for the period from 2000 to 2007.

Podaci za 2008., 2009., 2010. i 2011. privremeni su i dobiveni kao zbroj četiriju tromjesečja.

Data for 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are provisional. They were calculated as a sum of four quarters.

Bruto domaći proizvod realno je manji za 0,4% u četvrtom tromjesečju 2011. u odnosu na isto tromjesečje 2010.

The gross domestic product decreased in real terms by 0.4% in the fourth quarter of 2011, as compared to the same quarter of 2010.

U četvrtom tromjesečju 2011. izdaci za potrošnju kućanstava, najveća kategorija u BDP-u, porasli su za 0,1%. Izdaci za potrošnju države pali su za 1,3%. Pad bruto investicija u fiksni kapital iznosio je 6,1%. Izvoz roba i usluga pao je za 3,5%. Uvoz roba i usluga pao je  za 3,0%.

In the fourth quarter of 2011 the final consumption expenditure of households, as the largest component of GDP, increased by 0.1%. The final consumption expenditure of general government decreased by 1.3%. The decrease of the gross fixed capital formation was 6.1%.The exports of goods and services decreased by 3.5%. The imports of goods and services decreased by 3.0%.

Revidirane su i procjene BDP-a za prethodna tromjesečja 2011. godine. BDP realno je manji za 1,0% u prvom tromjesečju 2011., realno je veći za 0,4% u drugom tromjesečju, realno je veći za 0,7% u trećem tromjesečju u odnosu na isto tromjesečje 2010.

Estimate of GDP for previous quarters of 2011 is revised. GDP decreased in real terms by 1.0% in the first quarter of 2011, increased in real terms by 0.4% in the second quarter, increased in real terms by 0.7% in the third quarter, as compared to the same quarter of 2010.

Izvoz roba i usluga realno je manji za 3,7% u prvom tromjesečju 2011., realno je veći za 5,1% u drugom tromjesečju, realno je veći za 7,1% u trećem tromjesečju, u odnosu na isto tromjesečje 2010.

The exports of goods and services decreased in real terms by 3.7% in the first quarter of 2011, increased in real terms by 5.1% in the second quarter, increased in real terms by 7.1% in the third quarter, as compared to the same quarter of 2010.

Uvoz roba i usluga realno je veći za 3,7% u prvom tromjesečju 2011., realno je veći za 3,5% u drugom tromjesečju, realno je veći za 0,1% u trećem tromjesečju, u odnosu na isto tromjesečje 2010.

The imports of goods and services increased in real terms by 3.7% in the first quarter of 2011, increased in real terms by 3.5% in the second quarter, increased in real terms by 0.1% in the third quarter, as compared to the same quarter of 2010.

Prema preliminarnim tromjesečnim procjenama u 2011. ostvaren je nulti rast BDP-a.

According to provisional quarterly estimate for 2011 zero GDP growth is realised.

Bruto dodana vrijednost (BDV) u četvrtom tromjesečju 2011. u odnosu na isto tromjesečje prethodne godine realno je manja za 0,2%.

The gross value added (GVA) decreased in real terms by 0.2% in the fourth quarter of 2011, as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Realni pad bruto dodane vrijednosti ostvaren je u sljedećim djelatnostima: Poljoprivreda, lov, šumarstvo i Ribarstvo (za 5,4%), Rudarstvo i vađenje, Prerađivačka industrija, Opskrba električnom energijom, plinom i parom (za 1,1%), Građevinarstvo (za 6,9%) te Prijevoz, skladištenje i veze (za 7,1%) u odnosu na isto tromjesečje prethodne godine.

The GVA in real terms decreased in Agriculture, hunting, forestry and Fishing (5.4%), in Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing, Electricity, gas and water supply (1.1%), in Construction (6.9%) and in Transport, storage and communication (7.1%) as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Realni rast bruto dodane vrijednosti ostvaren je u sljedećim djelatnostima: Trgovina na veliko i na malo, Popravak motornih vozila i motocikla te predmeta za osobnu uporabu i kućanstvo (za 0,9%), Hoteli i restorani (za 1,3%), Financijsko posredovanje, poslovanje nekretninama, iznajmljivanje i poslovne usluge (za 3,0%), Javna uprava i obrana, Socijalno osiguranje, Obrazovanje, Zdravstvena zaštita i socijalna skrb i Ostale društvene, socijalne i osobne uslužne djelatnosti i aktivnosti kućanstava (za 1,4%) u odnosu na isto tromjesečje prethodne godine.

The GVA in real terms increased in Wholesale and retail trade, Repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods (0,9%), in Hotels and restaurants (1.3%), in Financial intermediation, Real estate, Renting and business activities (3.0%) and in Public administration and defence, Compulsory social security, Education, Health and social work, Other community, social and personal services and activities of households (1.4%) as compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Serija revidiranoga tromjesečnog BDP-a za razdoblje od prvog tromjesečja 2000. do četvrtog tromjesečja 2011. objavit će se 20. lipnja 2012. u redovitom priopćenju (Priopćenje br. 12.1.1/1.) zajedno  s procjenom obračuna BDP-a za prvo tromjesečje 2012.

The quarterly GDP revised series from the first quarter of 2000 to the fourth quarter of 2011, will be published on 20 June of  2012 in regular release (Release no 12.1.1/1.) together with quarterly GDP estimate  for the  first quarter of 2012.

U navedenom priopćenju tromjesečni podaci će prvi put biti objavljeni prema Nacionalnoj klasifikaciji djelatnosti 2007. te će biti usklađeni prema konačnim godišnjim podacima za razdoblje od 2000. do 2009. Podaci za 2010. i 2011. bit će privremeni i dobiveni kao zbroj četiriju tromjesečja.

In the release quarterly data will be published in accordance with National Classification of Activities, 2007 version for the first time and data will be adjusted according to the final annual data for the period from 2000 to 2009. Data for 2010 and 2011 will be provisional and will be calculated as a sum of four quarters.

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

U ovom priopćenju objavljuje se serija podataka bruto domaćeg proizvoda (BDP-a) za razdoblje od prvog tromjesečja 2009. do četvrtog tromjesečja 2011. za Republiku Hrvatsku prema osnovnim kategorijama izdataka i područjima djelatnosti.

This release presents the data series on the gross domestic product (GDP) for the Republic of Croatia in the period from the first quarter of 2009 to the fourth quarter of 2011, by major categories of expenditure and economic activities.

BDP po kategorijama izdataka vrednovan je u tržišnim cijenama, a bruto dodana vrijednost po djelatnostima vrednovana je u bazičnim cijenama.

GDP by expenditure approach is presented at market prices and GVA by activities at basic prices.

Za obračun BDP-a u stalnim cijenama primjenjuje se metoda ulančanih indeksa. Serija tromjesečnih podataka u stalnim cijenama iskazana je u cijenama prethodne godine dijeljenjem tekućih vrijednosti s indeksima cijena iskazanih na prosjeku prethodne godine. Iz serije podataka u cijenama prethodne godine obračunavaju se bazični ulančani indeksi vezanjem za referentnu godinu (2000. = 100). Realne stope rasta izvode se iz serije bazičnih ulančanih indeksa.

The chain-linking method has been applied in the calculation of GDP at constant prices. Quarterly time series at constant prices are expressed at prices of the previous year, by dividing current prices by indices expressed in average prices of the previous year. Basic chain-linked indices are calculated by using the time series at prices of the previous year by linking to the referent year (2000 = 100). Real growth rates are calculated by using the series of basic chain-linked indices.

Serija podataka u stalnim cijenama prethodne godine jest aditivna (BDP i BDV jednaki su zbroju pojedinih kategorija i potkategorija), dok je serija podataka u stalnim cijenama referentne godine neaditivna (BDP i BDV nisu jednaki zbroju pojedinih kategorija i potkategorija). Neaditivnost zbroja sastavnica BDP-a i BDV-a rezultat je primjene metode obračuna iz bazičnih ulančanih indeksa na detaljnijoj rasčlambi kategorija i potkategorija.

The time series at constant prices of the previous year are additive (GDP and GVA equal the sum of categories and subcategories), while the time series at constant prices of the referent year are not additive (GDP and GVA do not equal the sum of categories and subcategories). This non-additivity of GDP and GVA sums results from using the basic chain-linked indices on detailed structure of categories and subcategories.

Usklađivanje tromjesečnih podataka bruto domaćeg proizvoda (od prvog tromjesečja 2000. do četvrtog tromjesečja 2010.) prema revidiranim godišnjim podacima za razdoblje od 2000. do 2007. obavljeno je proporcionalnom metodom Denton.

Adjustment of quarterly GDP figures (from the first quarter of 2000 to the fourth quarter of 2010), according to the revised annual data for the period from 2000 to 2007, was carried out by using the proportional Denton method.

Proporcionalna metoda Denton primijenjena je jer za razliku od aditivne metode bolje čuva relativne pokazatelje (stope rasta) prilagođene u odnosu na originalne podatke BDP-a, a u aditivnoj metodi Denton naglasak je na prilagodbi apsolutnih vrijednosti za tromjesečni BDP.

The proportional Denton method was applied because, unlike the additive Denton method, it better preserves growth rates adjusted in relation to original GDP data, while with the additive Denton method the emphasis is on the adjustment of absolute values for a quarterly GDP.

Upotrebom proporcionalne metode Denton izbjegnut je problem skoka do kojeg može dovesti jednostavna metoda pro rata, tj. može se dogoditi da prilagođene vrijednosti rastu, dok originalne padaju i obratno.

The application of the proportional Denton method circumvents the step problem that a simple pro rata method can lead to, that is, it can lead to the situation that adjusted values are going up, while original ones are going down and vice versa.

Analytical framework, concepts, definitions and classification

Upotrijebljena metodologija u skladu je s Europskim sustavom nacionalnih računa (ESA 95).

The concept and the methodology used are consistent with the European System of Accounts (ESA 95).

BDP mjeri ukupnu vrijednost proizvoda i pruženih usluga koje su proizvele rezidentne institucionalne jedinice u tom razdoblju.

The GDP measures the total value of final goods and services produced by resident institutional units during a certain period of time.

Upotrijebljene su sljedeće klasifikacije: Klasifikacija osobne potrošnje prema namjeni (COICOP), Standardna međunarodna trgovinska klasifikacija (SITC), Glavna klasifikacija proizvoda (CPC) za BDP u tekućim cijenama i stalnim cijenama po kategorijama izdataka.

For the GDP at current and constant market prices by expenditure category, the following classifications were used: the Classification of Individual Consumption by Purpose (COICOP), the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) and the Croatian Product Classification (CPC).

Klasifikacija pravnih subjekata po djelatnostima u skladu je s NKD-om 2002., koji je izravno usporediv s NACE-om 2002., Rev. 1.1. Klasifikacija proizvoda, upotrijebljena za obračun bruto dodane vrijednosti u tekućim i stalnim cijenama po djelatnostima, usklađena je s Nacionalnom nomenklaturom industrijskih proizvoda i usluga, koja je usporediva s klasifikacijom PRODCOM.

The classification of business entities by activities is in line with the NKD 2002., which is directly comparable to the NACE Rev 1.1 classification. The Product Classification, which was used for the calculation of gross value added in current and constant prices by activities, is harmonised with the National Nomenclature of Industrial Products and Services, which is comparable to the PRODCOM classification.

Procjena BDP-a uključuje sve djelatnosti unutar granica proizvodnje definirane ESA-om 95 i obuhvaća cjelokupno područje Republike Hrvatske.

The GDP estimates include all activities within the ESA 95 production boundary and cover the total territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Procjene su načinjene prema obračunskom načelu.

Obračun BDP-a u tržišnim cijenama prema rashodnoj metodi u tekućim cijenama temelji se na podacima iz redovitih istraživanja Državnog zavoda za statistiku, Ministarstva financija, Hrvatske narodne banke i Financijske agencije.

The compilation of the GDP at market prices, according to the expenditure approach at current prices, is based on data from regular surveys of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, the Ministry of Finance, the Croatian National Bank and the Financial Agency.

Za obračun izdataka za potrošnju kućanstava upotrijebljeni su podaci iz redovitih istraživanja Državnog zavoda za statistiku o prometu u trgovini na malo te prometu u hotelima i restoranima. Izdaci za potrošnju na ostale usluge koje nisu obuhvaćene redovitim istraživanjima Državnog zavoda za statistiku izračunani su ekstrapoliranjem izdataka iz bazne godine upotrebom indeksa obujma iz proizvodnog pristupa i odgovarajućih indeksa troškova života do četvrtog tromjesečja 2003. Od prvog tromjesečja 2004. za tu svrhu upotrebljavaju se odgovarajući podindeksi indeksa potrošačkih cijena.

Final consumption expenditure of households is calculated from regular surveys of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics on turnover data for retail trade and for hotels and restaurants. Expenditure on other services, which are not covered by regular surveys made by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, was extrapolated from the base year quarterly values by using volume indices from the production approach and relevant cost of living indices until the fourth quarter of 2003. Since the first quarter of 2004 adequate sub-indices of the CPI have been used for this purpose.

Podaci o izdacima države koji sadrže i izdatke NPUSK-a izračunani su na temelju podataka Ministarstva financija za opću državu. Podaci za sva tromjesečja temelje se na tromjesečnom statističkom istraživanju o prihodima i rashodima proračuna i proračunskih korisnika i neprofitnih organizacija. Razlika obračunskog načela i načela plaćanja procijenjena je te su konačni rezultati izraženi prema obračunskom načelu.

Government expenditures data, including NPISH, were calculated by using the Ministry of Finance data on the general government. Data for all quarters were based on data from the statistical quarterly survey, the Quarterly Statistical Report on Income and Expenditure of Budget and Budgetary Users and Non-Profit Organisations. The difference between the accrual and the cash concepts was provisional. Therefore, the final data were presented according to the accrual concept.

Bruto investicije u fiksni kapital obračunane su s pomoću metode robnih tokova upotrebom podataka o proizvodnji i uvozu kapitalne opreme te građevinarstvu.

Gross fixed capital formation data were calculated by means of a commodity flow method, using data for production and imports of capital goods and construction activity.

Promjena zaliha u svim tromjesečjima obračunana je na temelju podataka iz tromjesečnog istraživanja o rezultatima poslovanja poduzetnika. U ovoj kategoriji iskazana je i statistička diskrepancija (razlika u obračunu BDP-a prema proizvodnoj i rashodnoj metodi).

Changes in inventories in all quarters were calculated by using data from the Quarterly Statistical Report on Business Results of Entrepreneurs. Statistical discrepancy is included in this category (difference between GDP production and expenditure approach).

Podaci o izvozu i uvozu roba i usluga temelje se na platnoj bilanci Hrvatske narodne banke.

Imports and exports of goods and services are based on the CNB balance of payments data of the Croatian National Bank.

Pojedine sastavnice BDP-a prema rashodnoj metodi u stalnim cijenama obračunane su deflacioniranjem podataka u tekućim tržišnim cijenama upotrebom indeksa cijena u cijenama prethodne godine.

Individual components of the GDP by expenditure category at constant prices were calculated by deflating the current market price data, using indices at prices of the previous year.

Izdaci za potrošnju kućanstava u stalnim cijenama izračunani su upotrebom odgovarajućih podindeksa indeksa potrošačkih cijena.

Data on household consumption at constant prices were calculated by using adequate CPI sub-indices.

U pogledu izdataka za državnu potrošnju primijenjena je pretpostavka konstantne produktivnosti, stoga su indeksi nadnica i plaća u stalnim cijenama izračunani dijeljenjem tekućih izdataka s indeksom broja zaposlenih. Izdaci za ostala dobra i usluge deflacionirani su odgovarajućim podindeksima indeksa potrošačkih cijena i indeksima cijena industrijskih proizvoda pri proizvođačima.

For government expenditures, an assumption of constant productivity was applied, so that the wage and salary indices at constant prices were calculated by dividing the data on current expenditures on wages and salaries by indices of the number of persons employed. Expenditures on other goods and services were deflated by using adequate CPI sub-indices and industrial producers' price indices.

Bruto investicije u fiksni kapital deflacionirane su indeksima cijena domaćih i uvoznih kapitalnih dobara te implicitnim deflatorom za građevinarstvo s proizvodne strane.

Gross fixed capital formation data were deflated by domestic and import prices of capital goods and the implicit deflator for construction activity by production approach.

Promjena zaliha gotovih proizvoda i proizvodnje u tijeku deflacionirana je indeksom cijena industrijskih proizvoda pri proizvođačima. Promjena zaliha sirovina i materijala deflacionirana je indeksima cijena industrijskih proizvoda pri proizvođačima i indeksima uvoznih cijena za sirovine i materijal. Za deflacioniranje promjena zaliha trgovačke robe upotrijebljeni su odgovarajući indeksi potrošačkih cijena.

Changes in inventories of final goods and work in progress were deflated by prices of industrial products. Changes in inventories of raw materials were deflated by industrial producers' price indices and import prices of raw materials. For deflation of changes in inventories of goods purchased for resale, a relevant CPI was used.

Izvoz i uvoz roba deflacioniran je indeksima jedinične vrijednosti Fisherova tipa. Izvoz usluga deflacioniran je odgovarajućim indeksima cijena na domaćem tržištu. Uvoz usluga deflacioniran je odgovarajućim indeksima cijena najvažnijih trgovačkih partnera.

Imports and exports of goods were deflated by using Fisher-type unit value indices. Exports of services were deflated by relevant price indices for goods on the domestic market. Imports of services were deflated by relevant prices indices on the markets of the most significant trading partner countries.

Obračun bruto dodane vrijednosti u tekućim cijenama temelji se primarno na rezultatima tromjesečnog istraživanja o prihodima i rashodima (skraćeni račun dobiti i gubitka s odabranim stavkama iz bilance stanja) poslovnih subjekata. Tromjesečni statistički izvještaj uveden je od prvog tromjesečja 1999. i obuhvaća pet različitih skupina pravnih subjekata: poduzetnike, osiguravajuća društva, banke i druge financijske ustanove, neprofitne organizacije i proračunske korisnike. Obračun za svaku skupinu izveden je na razini dviju znamenaka Nacionalne klasifikacije djelatnosti, verzija 2002. (NKD 2002.).

The calculation of the gross value added at current prices is based primarily on the results of the quarterly survey of revenues and expenditures (abbreviated profit and loss statement and selected balance sheet items) on business entities. The quarterly statistical report has been introduced since the first quarter of 1999 and covers five different groups of legal entities: enterprises, insurance companies, banks and other financial institutions, non-profit organisations and budgetary users. The calculation was done for each group at the 2-digit NKD 2002. level.

Procjena određenih stavaka koje nisu obuhvaćene tromjesečnim istraživanjem (poput obrtništva i netržišne proizvodnje poljoprivrednih proizvoda) temelji se na posljednjim raspoloživim tromjesečnim podacima i odgovarajućim pokazateljima.

The estimates for certain components that are not covered by the quarterly survey (such as unincorporated businesses and non-market production of agricultural products) are based on the last available quarterly data and all relevant indicators.

Podaci o porezima i subvencijama na proizvode temelje se na podacima Ministarstva financija.

Data on taxes and subsidies on products are taken from the data of the Ministry of Finance.

Bruto domaći proizvod u tržišnim cijenama dobije se kad se bruto dodanoj vrijednosti u bazičnim cijenama doda porez na proizvode umanjen za subvencije na proizvode.

The gross domestic product at market prices was derived from the gross value added at basic prices by adding taxes less subsidies on products to the latter total.

Obračun BDV-a iskazan je u stalnim cijenama prethodne godine te u stalnim cijenama referentne godine (2000. = 100).

The calculation of GVA in constant prices is done at prices of the previous year and at constant prices of the referent year (2000 = 100).

Pri obračunu upotrijebljena su različita istraživanja Državnog zavoda za statistiku te tromjesečno statističko istraživanje za poduzetnike, banke i druge financijske ustanove, osiguravajuća društva, druge neprofitne organizacije te proračune i proračunske korisnike. Istraživanje je uvedeno u prvom tromjesečju 1999. i provodi ga Financijska agencija.

For the compilation, various surveys of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics were used as well as the Quarterly Statistical Report for Enterprises, Banks and Other Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies, Non-profit Organisations, Budgets and Budgetary Users, a quarterly survey introduced in the first quarter of 1999, which is conducted by the Financial Agency.

Za djelatnosti za koje su raspoloživi odgovarajući indeksi obujma (poljoprivreda, industrija i građevinarstvo) obračun je izveden na razini dviju znamenaka NKD-a 2002. preko spomenutih indeksa.

For the activities for which adequate volume indices are available (agriculture, industry, construction), the compilation was done at the 2-digit NKD 2002. level through these indices.

Za određene djelatnosti upotrijebljeni su fizički pokazatelji (prijevoz i telekomunikacije) ili podaci o prometu (hoteli i restorani, trgovina), a obračun je izveden na razini triju znamenaka NKD-a 2002.

Physical indicators (transport, telecommunication) or turnover data (hotels and restaurants, trade) at the 3-digit NKD 2002. level were used for those activities.

Za većinu ostalih uslužnih djelatnosti upotrijebljen je pokazatelj inputa (u pravilu broj zaposlenih), a obračun je izveden na razini četiriju znamenaka NKD-a 2002.

Input indicators (number of employed persons in most cases) at the 4-digit NKD 2002. level were used for most other service activities.
