Broj lovaca u 2011. u odnosu na 2010. povećao se za 8%, a broj članova za 7%. Broj pripravnika veći je za 13% u odnosu na 2010.	The total number of hunters in 2011, as compared to 2010, increased by 8%, the number of members of associations by 7% and the number of trainees by 13%.
Odstrel divljači u 2011. u odnosu na 2010. povećao se za neke vrste, i to jelena (svih vrsta) za 16%, srne za 19%, divlje svinje za 19%, zeca za 9%, ostale pernate divljači za 7%, dok se odstrel fazana smanjio za 15% kao i odstrel močvarica raznih za 17%.	In 2011, as compared to 2010, the kill of deer (all types) increased by 16%, of roe deer by 19%, of wild boars by 19%, of hares by 9% and of other birds by 7%, while the kill of common pheasants decreased by 15% and of water fowls, various types, by 17%.

Izvor i metode prikupljanja podataka		Sources and methods of data collection
Podaci o godišnjem izvještaju o lovstvu u 2011. preuzeti su iz Ministarstva poljoprivrede – Uprava lovstva za razdoblje od 1. travnja 2011. do 31. ožujka 2012. (lovna godina).		Data for the Annual Report on Hunting, in 2011 were collected for the period from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 (hunting year) from the Ministry of Agriculture – Hunting Department.
Od 2006. Ministarstvo poljoprivrede – Uprava lovstva (NN, br. 140/05.) preuzelo je u svoju nadležnost evidenciju o gospodarenju lovištima i divljači. Gospodarenje obuhvaća uzgoj, zaštitu, lov i korištenje divljači i njezinih dijelova.		Since 2006, the Ministry of Agriculture – Hunting Department (NN, No. 140/05) took charge of keeping the records on the management of hunting grounds and game. The management includes breeding, protection, hunting and usage of game and its parts.
Podaci o odstrijeljenoj divljači daju se na temelju središnje lovne evidencije.		Data on killed game are given on the basis of the central hunting register.
Obuhvat i usporedivost		Coverage and comparability
Izvještajne jedinice pravne su osobe i dijelovi pravnih osoba i ostale fizičke osobe koje obavljaju djelatnost uzgoja, zaštite, lova i korištenje divljači i njezinih dijelova. Izvještajne jedinice preuzete su iz baze podataka Hrvatskih šuma, Hrvatskoga lovačkog saveza te Ministarstva poljoprivrede – Uprava lovstva.		Reporting units are legal entities and parts thereof as well as natural persons engaged in the activity of breeding, protection, hunting and usage of game and its parts. Reporting units were taken over from data bases of the Croatian Forests , the Croatian Hunting Union and the Ministry of Agriculture – Hunting Department.
Definicije		Definitions
Lovci su osobe koje imaju položeni lovački ispit i obavljaju osnovne zadaće lova: uzgoj, zaštitu, lov i korištenje divljači i njezinih dijelova uz poštovanje lovačkih običaja i etike.		Hunters are persons who passed the testing for hunters and are engaged in the basic missions concerning hunting: breeding, protection, hunting and using of game and its parts, provided that they respect hunting customs and ethics.
Lovna godina jest razdoblje od 1. travnja tekuće godine do 31. ožujka sljedeće godine.		Hunting year is the period lasting from 1 April of a current year to 31 March of a next year.
