INDUSTRIAL TURNOVER INDEX IN INDUSTRY, JANUARY 2013,
FIRST RESULTS

Ukupni
desezonirani promet industrije1) u Republici Hrvatskoj u siječnju 2013., u
usporedbi s prosincem 2012., bilježi
rast za 1,4%. Ako usporedimo tržišta, u istom razdoblju na domaćem tržištu
zabilježen je rast za 1,8%, a na stranom tržištu zabilježen je pad za 8,8%.

total seasonally adjusted industrial
turnover 1) in the Republic of Croatia in January 2013, as
compared to December 2012, increased by 1.4%. If compared by the
destination of markets, then, in the same period, it increased by 1.8% on
the domestic market, while on the non-domestic market it decreased by 8.8%.

U siječnju 2013., u
usporedbi sa siječnjem 2012., ukupni promet industrije, kalendarski
prilagođen2), u Republici Hrvatskoj bilježi pad za 14,3%. Ako usporedimo tržišta, u istom
razdoblju na domaćem tržištu zabilježen je pad za 12,0% i na stranom
tržištu pad za 34,3%.

br. 1165/98 i preporukama o kratkoročnim statistikama za objavljivanje
podataka o kratkoročnim statistikama, posebno za prezentaciju indeksa
industrijske proizvodnje.

siječnju 2013., u usporedbi s prosincem 2012., ukupna prodaja Trajnih
proizvoda za široku potrošnju veća je za 67,5%, Intermedijarnih proizvoda
veća je za 6,8% i Netrajnih proizvoda za široku potrošnju veća je za 1,7%, dok je
ukupna prodaja Kapitalnih proizvoda manja za 14,5% i Energije
manja za 2,2%.

consumer goods was by 67.5%, of Intermediate goods by 6.8% and of
Non-durable consumer goods by 1.7% higher, while that of Capital goods was

su za 34,7%, Intermedijarni proizvodi manji su za 7,2%, Netrajni proizvodi
za široku potrošnju manji su za 6,9% i Energija je manja za 6,8%, dok su
Trajni proizvodi za široku potrošnju veći za 23,9%.

na međumjesečnoj i međugodišnjoj lančanoj osnovi i prvi put prikazuje ga na

The
Croatian Bureau of Statistics, in this first release, issuing industrial
trnover index on imonth-on-moth bases and on the interannual chain basis
and, for the first time, on the fix base year 2010 = 100 in order
to harmonise them with the Council Regulation (EC) concerning Short-Term
Statistics No. 1165/98 and its amendments. These EU regulations prescribe
the implementation of the new base year 2010, which has been mandatory for
all Member States in publishing and disseminating industrial trnover index
since the reference month January 2013. Therefore, the publishing and
disseminating of industrial trnover index on the base year 2005 = 100 has
been cancelled in all publications of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

measuring of movements in industrial turnover/production sold realised by

turnover/production sold realised by industrial enterprises industrial
local units on the non-domestic market, that is, outside the territory of
the Republic of Croatia.

mjesecu za podatke iz prethodnoga izvještajnog mjeseca. Iznimno, ako se

The
reference period for data collection is one month and is identical to a
calendar month. The data collection method used in 2013 is a web-based
application (the so-called CAWI). Reporting units fill in data directly on
the IND-2/KPS/M e-form, which is available on the web site of the Croatian
Bureau of Statistics www.dzs.hr. The time schedule for
data collection each month ranges, as a rule, from 13th to 27th
day in a month for the previous reference month data. Exceptionally,
if delivered by e-mail, in the case of technical inabilities of reporting
units, the deadline is 20th day in a month for the previous
reference month data.

The value of total industrial turnover that is, income from sales is the invoiced value of
reporting local units for the products and services sold during the
reference month. It corresponds to the market value of goods and services
sold and delivered to third parties on domestic and non-domestic market in
the reporting month.

U vrijednost prihoda od prodaje (prometa) industrije uključeni su
svi troškovi transporta i pakiranja te svi porezi na fakturirana dobra i
usluge izvještajne jedinice osim poreza na dodanu vrijednost (PDV).
Isključeni su svi popusti i sniženja cijena te vrijednost vraćenih
pakiranih industrijskih proizvoda osim gotovinskih popusta. Također su
isključeni popusti, sniženja i bonusi koji se poslije odobravaju kupcima

The value of income from sales (turnover) in industry
includes all transport and packing costs as well as taxes on invoiced goods
and services of the reporting units except the value added tax (VAT).
Excluded are all reductions in prices, rebates and discounts as well as the
value of returned packed goods, except cash price reductions. Price
reductions, rebates and bonuses granted to customers later (e.g., at the
end of the year) are also excluded.

Prihodom od prodaje (prometa) proizvoda ili usluga trećim osobama
koje su iz iste države, tj. rezidenti Republike Hrvatske, smatra se prodaja
na domaćem tržištu. Prihodom od prodaje na stranom tržištu smatra se
prodaja nerezidentima Republike Hrvatske. Utvrđuje se prema kriteriju prve
destinacije proizvoda ili usluga te promjeni vlasništva (bez obzira na
fizički prelazak ili neprelazak granice proizvoda ili usluga za koje je
izdana faktura).

The income from sales (turnover) of products and
services to third parties residing in the same country, that is, to
residents of the Republic of Croatia, is considered sale on domestic
market, while sales on non-domestic market is considered as sales to
non-residents of the Republic of Croatia according to the criterion of the
first destination of products or services and change of owner (irrespective
of whether the goods or services for which the invoice was issued actually
crossed the border or not).

djelatnosti u 2011. Izračunana je na temelju godišnjih statističkih
rezultata Strukturno-poslovnog istraživanja za 2011. Državnog zavoda za
statistiku obradom godišnjih administrativnih podataka Fine – Godišnji
računi industrijskih poduzeća za 2011. te je ispravljena PRODCOM
istraživanjem o industrijskoj proizvodnji za 2011. i zatim indeksima
prometa industrije za 2012. Za izračunavanje indeksa domaćeg i stranog
tržišta upotrebljava se struktura izračunana na temelju PRODCOM
istraživanja o industrijskoj proizvodnji za 2011. Struktura odjeljaka
ažurira se na početku svake godine za obračunavanje indeksa tekuće godine.

The structure of industrial activities (division
structure) for 2012 has been calculated for 2012 for industrial turnover
index on the basis of the value of turnover (sales) by pure activity principle
for the Republic of Croatia in 2011. It was calculated on the basis of 2011
annual statistical results of the Structural Business Survey carried out by
the Croatian Bureau of Statistics by processing annual results taken over
from administrative data of Fina – the Annual Accounts of Industrial
Enterprises in 2011 and further corrected by both, the results of the
PRODCOM Survey on Industrial Production for 2011 and by industrial turnover
indices for 2012. The calculation of domestic market index and non-domestic
market index PRODCOM Survey on Industrial
Production for 2011 has been used. The division structure is being updated
at the beginning of every year for the calculation of indices of a current
year.

Desezoniranje je izvršeno metodom TRAMO-SEATS na
mjesečnoj seriji indeksa koja počinje indeksom za siječanj 2000. za
industriju ukupno i GIG 2009. prema posebnim grupacijama u odnosu na
pokrivenost NKD-a 2007. za svaki od pokazatelja. U serijama desezoniranih
indeksa isključen je utjecaj slučajne komponente. Produžavanje serije
indeksa dodavanjem novih mjesečnih opažanja za svaki idući mjesec može zbog
svojstava primijenjene metode desezoniranja prouzročiti naknadne ispravke
već objavljenih desezoniranih i kalendarski prilagođenih indeksa za
nekoliko mjeseci unatrag.

Seasonal adjustment has been done by using the
TRAMO-SEATS method on the monthly index series, which starts with the
January 2000 index for the total industry and for the MIGs 2009 in respect of NKD 2007. activity coverage of each of indicators. Series of seasonally adjusted
indices are thus in which a random component has been excluded. Due to the
character of the implemented seasonal adjustment method, the extension of index
series, by adding of new monthly observations for each new month, could
cause subsequent corrections of already published seasonally and
working-day adjusted indices for several months backwards.

seasonal and working-day effects. In line with the Eurostat’s

term working day adjusted indices indicate that data are adjusted only for
working-day effects. In line with the Eurostat’s Recommendations and the

The annex I. to this first release Industrial
turnover index, No. 2.1.4./2013, provides time series of industrial
trnover iindices recalculated on the 2010 base year, for the total
industry and by MIGs 2009. aggregates, in tables 1. (gross and working-day
adjusted indices) and 2. (seasonally adjusted indices and trend). This
concept of presentation will make it possible for the national data users
to directly compare the national data with those published on the
Eurostat’s web site: http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat which the Croatian Bureau of Statistics has
regularly submitted to Eurostat on the monthly basis.

Recalculted time series
of monthly industrial turnover indices for the
total industry, according to the MIGs 2009. aggregates on the base year
2010, are available for the period from
