METODOLOŠKA OBJAŠNJENJA

NOTES ON METHODOLOGY

Kumulativni podatak nije uvijek jednak zbroju pojedinačnih mjesečnih rezultata zbog zaokruživanja na tisuće.

Cumulative data do not always equal the sum of individual monthly results due to the rounding of numbers to the nearest thousandth.

Izvori i metode prikupljanja podataka

Source and methods of data collection

Podaci obuhvaćaju prispjele i otputovale brodove, ukrcane i iskrcane putnike te utovarenu i istovarenu robu i odnose se na rad svih javnih morskih luka u Republici Hrvatskoj.

Data on the traffic in seaports include arrived and departed ships, embarked and disembarked passengers and loaded and unloaded goods and relate to activities in all public seaports in the Republic of Croatia.

The statistical survey on the traffic in seaports has been carried out by using the databases of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure. The Croatian Bureau of Statistics takes over the database from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, after which it performs further processing.

The detailed notes on methodology are issued in the publication entitled the "Methodological Basics for Statistical Survey Traffic in Seaports", which is also available at the web site of the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

Obuhvat

Coverage

The statistical survey includes all ships under domestic and foreign flags that arrived or departed from the seaports in the Republic of Croatia, regardless of the activity they perform. Ships in ballast are included.

Podaci sadrže njihov iskrcaj i ponovni ukrcaj.

Data on the traffic of passengers include passengers on cruise ships who disembarked for a visit to a port or a city and then re-embarked to continue their cruise. The data include both the disembarkation and re-embarkation of passengers.
