Porast uvoza u govedarstvu	Increase in import in cattle farming
Prirast goveda u 2019., u odnosu na prethodnu godinu, povećao se za 30,0%, odnosno za oko 18,3 tisuće tona. U istom razdoblju broj ukupno oteljene teladi manji je za 4 tisuće grla (za 3,3%). Ukupno klanje goveda, odnosno broj zaklanih grla na prošlogodišnjoj je razini, dok je neto težina veća za oko 1 700 tona (za 3,9%).	In 2019, as compared to the previous year, the increase of cattle went up by 30.0%, that is, by about 18.3 thousand tonnes. In the same period, the total number of calves brought forth decreased by 4 thousand head (by 3.3%). The total number of slaughtered cattle, that is, slaughtered head, remained at the previous year’s level, while the net weight increased by about 1 700 tonnes (by 3.9%).
Usporedno s padom broja muznih krava u 2019., ukupna proizvodnja kravljeg mlijeka smanjila se za 3,0% u odnosu na isto razdoblje prethodne godine.	Along with the decrease in the total number of dairy cows in 2019, the total production of cows’ milk decreased by 3.0%, as compared to the same period of the previous year.
Ukupan izvoz goveda u 2019. na prošlogodišnjoj je razini, dok je njihov ukupan uvoz veći za 12 tisuća grla (za 9,2%).	The total export of cattle in 2019 remained at the previous year’s level, while their total import increased by 12 thousand head (by 9.2%).
Porast proizvodnje u svinjogojstvu	Production growth in pig farming
U svinjogojstvu je u 2019. prisutno povećanje prirasta svinja za 11,1% uz povećanje broja zaklanih svinja za 2,4% i neto težine za 6,5%. Broj oprašenih odojaka u blagom je padu u odnosu na prethodnu godinu za oko 6 tisuća grla (za 0,4%).	In 2019, the increase of pigs in pig farming went up by 11.1%, accompanied by an increase in the number of slaughtered pigs of 2.4% and in their net weight of 6.5%. The number of piglets brought forth decreased slightly, by about 6 thousand head (by 0.4%), as compared to the previous year.
U vanjsko-trgovinskoj razmjeni u 2019. ostvaren je manji izvoz svinja svih kategorija nego u prethodnoj godini (za 17,6%), dok je ukupan uvoz neznatno smanjen (za 0,2%).	As regards foreign trade in 2019, the export of pigs of all categories was lower than in the previous year (by 17.6%), while the total import decreased slightly (by 0.2%).
Pad proizvodnje mlijeka u ovčarstvu i kozarstvu	Decrease in milk production in sheep and goat farming
Prirast ovaca u blagom je porastu za 0,7%, odnosno za oko 65 tona u odnosu na 2018., dok je broj ukupno ojanjene janjadi veći za oko 32 tisuće grla (za 7,7%). Ukupno klanje ovaca povećano je za 10 tisuća grla (za 2,2%), odnosno za oko 74 tone neto težine (za 1,4%).	The sheep increase went up slightly by 0.7%, that is, by about 65 tonnes compared to 2018, while the total number of lambs brought forth increased by about 32 thousand head (by 7.7%). The total number of slaughtered sheep increased by 10 thousand head (by 2.2%), that is, by about 74 tonnes of net weight (by 1.4%).
Proizvodnja ovčjeg mlijeka smanjila se za 6,5%, dok se proizvodnja vune smanjila za 2,1%.	The production of sheep’s milk decreased by 6.5%, while the production of wool decreased by 2.1%.
Uvoz ovaca u 2019., u odnosu na prethodnu godinu, smanjen je za 10,8%, a izvoz za 33,3%.	Sheep import decreased by 10.8% and export by 33.3% in 2019, as compared to the previous year.
U odnosu na prethodnu godinu, prirast koza manji je za 8,7%, dok je broj ojarenih jarića veći za 1,8%. Broj zaklanih koza povećan je za 14,0% uz smanjenje njihove neto težine za 3,8%.	The goat increase was 8.7% lower than in the previous year, while the number of kids brought forth increased by 1.8%. The number of slaughtered goats increased by 14.0%, while their net weight decreased by 3.8%.
Proizvodnja kozjeg mlijeka smanjila se za 4,8%.	The production of goats’ milk decreased by 4.8%.
U 2019., što se tiče koza, ukupna vanjsko-trgovinska razmjena statistički je neznatna.	In 2019, concerning goat farming, the total foreign trade was statistically insignificant.
Porast proizvodnje kokošjih jaja	Increase in hens' egg production
U proizvodnji peradi u 2019., u odnosu na 2018., broj izvaljenih pilića blago se smanjio, i to za 0,2%, dok se prirast peradi smanjio za 1,5%. Broj ukupno zaklane peradi manji je za 2,6% (oko 1,2 milijuna grla), a njihova težina manja je za 2,0% (oko 1,5 tisuća tona).	Concerning the production of poultry in 2019, as compared to 2018, the number of hatched chicks slightly decreased, by 0.2%, while the poultry increase was 1.5% lower. The total number of slaughtered poultry decreased by 2.6% (about 1.2 million head) and their net weight by 2.0% (about 1.5 thousand tonnes).
U proizvodnji kokošjih jaja vidljivo je povećanje od 2,2%, dok se proizvodnja jaja ostale peradi smanjila za 50,7%.	An increase of 2.2% was recorded in the production of hens’ eggs, while the production of eggs of other poultry decreased by 50.7%.
Ukupan uvoz i izvoz peradi u 2019. nije se znatno promijenio u odnosu na 2018.	The total import and export of poultry did not significantly change in 2019 compared to 2018.

METODOLOŠKA OBJAŠNJENJA	NOTES ON METHODOLOGY
Izvori i metode prikupljanja podataka	Sources and methods of data collection
Podaci o broju stoke i peradi te stočnoj proizvodnji prikupljeni su posebno za poslovne subjekte i dijelove poslovnih subjekata, a posebno za obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva.	Data on the number of livestock and poultry as well as on livestock production are collected separately for legal entities and parts thereof and separately for private family farms.
Tim izvještajima prikupljaju se podaci o broju i težini stoke i peradi, bilanci goveda, svinja, ovaca, koza i peradi, bilanci jaja, bilanci mlijeka na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima, proizvodnji mlijeka (kravljega, ovčjega i kozjega), vune i jaja.	Data collected on these farms include data on the number and weight of livestock and poultry, balance of cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and poultry, balance of eggs, balance of milk on private family farms, milk production (cows’, sheep’s and goats’), wool and eggs.
Podaci za poslovne subjekte prikupljaju se na dva načina: izvještajima koji se poštom dostavljaju Državnom zavodu za statistiku te putem internetske aplikacije koju izvještajne jedinice same popunjavaju.	Data for business entities are collected in two ways: on reports that are submitted to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics by postal service and via a web application filled in by reporting units themselves.
Podaci za obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva prikupljeni su  metodom telefonskog anketiranja na odabranome stratificiranom uzorku. Uzorak je izabran iz Statističkog registra poljoprivrednih gospodarstava kao baze, a ima oko 7 000 jedinica.	Data for private family farms were collected by using the CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method applied to a selected stratified sample. The sample has been selected on the basis of the Statistical Register of Agricultural Holdings and numbers approximately 7 000 units.
Ekspandirani podaci uspoređeni su s podacima iz prijašnjih godina te raspoloživim administrativnim izvorima (Jedinstveni registar domaćih životinja pri Ministarstvu poljoprivrede). Na temelju svih raspoloživih podataka prema potrebi su provedene korekcije.	The expanded data were compared to data from previous years and to available administrative sources (Unique Register of Domestic Animals kept by the Ministry of Agriculture). On the basis of all available data, corrections were done when necessary.
Podaci o uvozu i izvozu stoke preuzimaju se od Službe statistike robne razmjene s inozemstvom.	Data on export and import of livestock are taken over from the External Trade in Goods Statistics Department.
Metodologija za provedbu istraživanja o stočarstvu temelji se na Uredbi (EZ) br. 1165/2008 Europskog parlamenta i Vijeća o statističkim podacima o stočarstvu i mesu od 19. studenoga 2008., Uredbi Komisije (EZ) br. 617/2008 o utvrđivanju detaljnih pravila za provedbu Uredbe (EZ) br. 1234/2007 u pogledu tržišnih standarda za jaja za valenje i pilića domaće peradi od 27. lipnja 2008. te Metodološkim osnovama za prikupljanje podataka u statistici mlijeka i mliječnih proizvoda (NN, br. 42/13.).	The methodology for carrying out the livestock survey is based on the Regulation (EC) No. 1165/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008 concerning livestock and meat statistics, the Commission Regulation (EC) No. 617/2008 of 27 June 2008 laying down detailed rules for implementing the Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 as regarding marketing standards for eggs for hatching and farmyard poultry chicks and on the Methodological Basis for Gathering Data on Milk and Dairy Products Statistics (NN, No. 42/13).
Obuhvat i usporedivost	Coverage and comparability
Izvještajne jedinice jesu poslovni subjekti i dijelovi poslovnih subjekata koji su definirani područjem A Poljoprivreda, šumarstvo i ribarstvo prema Nacionalnoj klasifikaciji djelatnosti, verzija 2007. (NN, br. 58/07. i 72/07.) te ostali poslovni subjekti i njihovi dijelovi koji se bave stočnom proizvodnjom, a razvrstani su drugamo.	Reporting units are business entities and parts thereof defined in section A Agriculture, forestry and fishing according to the National Classification of Activities, 2007 version (NN, Nos 58/07 and 72/07) as well as other business entities and parts thereof engaged in the production of livestock but classified elsewhere.
Izvještajne jedinice jesu i obiteljska poljoprivredna gospodarstva koja se bave uzgojem stoke i peradi. Uzorak za Godišnji izvještaj o stočarstvu 1. prosinca 2019. izabran je iz Statističkog registra poljoprivrednih gospodarstava.	Reporting units are also private family farms engaged in the production of livestock and poultry. The sample of the Annual Report on Livestock Production of 1 December 2019 was selected from the Statistical Register of Agricultural Holdings.
Povjerljivost	Confidentiality
Agregirani podaci kod kojih postoje razlozi za povjerljivost (zbog malog broja jedinica, pravila dominantnosti ili sekundarne povjerljivosti), u skladu sa Zakonom o službenoj statistici (NN, br. 25/20.) i Pravilnikom o načinu zaštite statističkih podataka Državnog zavoda za statistiku, tretiraju se kao povjerljivi te se stoga ne objavljuju.	Aggregate data for which there are reasons for confidentiality (small number of units, the dominance rule or secondary confidentiality rule), in accordance with the Official Statistics Act (NN, No. 25/20) and the Ordinance on the Statistical Data Protection Method, are treated as confidential and therefore are not published.
Definicije	Definitions
Prirast goveda, ovaca, koza, svinja i peradi izračunan je tako da se razlika težine izvoza i uvoza pribroji težini zaklane stoke i razlici težine stada na kraju i na početku promatranog razdoblja.	Increase of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and poultry is calculated by adding the difference in the weight of export and import to the weight of slaughtered livestock and the difference of the weight of the herd at the end and at the beginning of a reference period.
Priplod. Oteljeno, oprašeno, ojanjeno, ojareno, izvaljeno. Obuhvaća ukupan broj dobivenoga živorođenog podmlatka stoke i peradi (telad, prasad, janjad, jarad, pilići).	Newborns. Calved, farrowed, lambed, kidded, hatched. It comprises the total number of obtained live-born offspring of livestock and poultry (calves, piglets, lambs, kids, chicks).
Mlijeko. Iskazana je proizvodnja kravljega, ovčjega i kozjeg mlijeka kod pravnih osoba te na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima. Iskazano je ukupno pomuženo mlijeko u promatranom razdoblju bez obzira na način mužnje.	Milk. The production of cows’, sheep’s and goats’ milk in legal entities as well as on private family farms is presented. The total milked quantity in a reference period is presented, irrespective of the way of milking.
Ukupno klanje. Obuhvaća svu stoku i perad zaklanu na području Republike Hrvatske bez obzira na podrijetlo. Označuje zbroj klanja stoke i peradi u klaonicama te klanja stoke i peradi kod pravnih osoba (prisilno klanje) i na obiteljskim poljoprivrednim gospodarstvima.	Total slaughtering. Covers all livestock and poultry slaughtered on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, irrespective of origin. It represents the sum of livestock and poultry slaughtered in abattoirs and livestock and poultry slaughtered at legal entities (compulsory slaughtering) and on private family farms.
Vuna. Iskazuju se količine ostrižene (ošišane) vune s odraslih ovaca i šilježadi (runska vuna i podstrig), i to kao neprana vuna.	Trimmed wool. Quantities of trimmed (clipped) wool from grown up sheep and tags (matted wool and cropped wool) are reported as raw wool.
Proizvodnja jaja. Iskazuju se podaci o ukupnom broju snesenih jaja svih rasa kokoši i ostalih vrsta peradi. Obuhvaćena su jaja za nasad i konzumna jaja za potrošnju/ishranu stanovništva.	Eggs production. Data on the total number of laid eggs by all categories of hens and other kinds of poultry (eggs for setting and eggs for human consumption) are reported.
Gubici. Iskazuju se podaci o broju stoke i peradi (podmladak i odrasla grla) uginulih od zaraznih bolesti, iscrpljenosti, nezgoda i o broju nestalih i ubijenih grla zbog bolesti, čije meso nije upotrebljivo za ljudsku hranu.	Losses. Data on the number of livestock and poultry (offspring and adult head) that died due to infectious diseases, exhaustion and accidents as well as on the number of head missing or killed, whose meat is not suitable for human consumption because of diseases, are reported.
